Week 7
This week I finished mapping all of the buttons on the calculator and prepped the calculator to be soldered. i have also figured out which pins I need and which I do not need for the project. I also worked on touchdesigner and worked on the animations that will play. U sorted them into containers to help condense the amount of nodes there are. I got the animations to change colors when I press different buttons on the keyboard.

Week 6
After the tutorials I have started looking at what TouchDesigner is capable of for visuals. I saw a graphic that was really cool and I want to try to emulate that. I got a good start on the visual side of the project. I am going to split the calculator into 2 different sides and have one side control a colorful animation that resembles drops in the water on the sides of the screen and I will have another that resembles fluid blobs that change colors in the middle of the screen and expands outwards.

Week 5
This week I started work on mapping the calculator. I have figured out where most of the keys match with the pins. I am confused though on one column of buttons that I can’t find their pin combo. It is the dead center column. I have found all the buttons to the left and the right but I have not found the combination for them. Is there a chance that they are 4 wires chained together to get them? Like if you press a 2 it is just the one combination as well as the 3 combination?

Week 4
This week I did labs 3-5. Lab 3 I was so proud to get the light to turn on and off with the buttons. Lab 5 I got a little sidetracked on my way to getting the LCD display to say Hello World. I decided to try to see how many LED lights I could get to light up. I originally connected one to the potentiometer and noticed that when I turned the resistance down the light dimmed but the LCD got brighter. I was very confused by that because I put it in the same line. I then tried lining the LED up to be after the LCD display but the LED did not turn on. I then put it on a separate line still connected to the Arduino but not the potentiometer and I got 2 LEDs to light up but when I added a third they did not light up.
